Using a serrated bread knife, start by cutting a round out shape of the top of your artisan bread using the brie cheese as a measuring tool and pull out the top of the bread.
Score the top of your brie with 4 - 5 diagonal cuts, rotating until they lines are in a criss-cross pattern. Place the wheel of cheese directly into the cut out space of your bread.
Thinly slice 2 large apples. Melt 2 tbs of butter on the stove over medium high heart. Add your sliced apples, cinnamon, apple pie spice, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until everything is melted together. Cook down for 5-10 minutes until the apples are soft. (if you want to cook your cuts with the apples, add those in now too)
Spoon your cinnamon apples directly on top of your brie cheese.
Transfer your loaf and cheese into a Dutch oven.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and bake for 15 - 20 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and melty and the bread is golden and crusty.
Carefully remove your bread from the Dutch oven and onto a cutting board, top with your nuts and slice and serve warm!
